I spoke to soon last week when I cheered over the warm weather we had in Toronto, as the weather forecaster has announced that 15 centimetres of the white stuff is expected to fall by this afternoon.  I'll be the first to admit that I am not a fan of winter. If it were up to me, the winter season would arrive Christmas Eve and leave New Years Eve. If any one wanted more winter I'd say "Get in your car and drive north. It's up there some where. I don't care". I swear I’m allergic to winter I’ve got all the symptoms of an allergy when exposed to the winter months – stuffed up nose, watery eyes, goose bumps, chills, and  dry skin that could rival the landscape of the Sahara Desert.

What I despise most about winter is the ice, it seems like every year I slip on ice while usually taking 3 friends, an ornamental tree and an old person down with me. Another thing that really peeves me off about winter is the little snotsicles that form as soon as you step foot outside from your drippy, runny nose. But perhaps the worst is having to wake up in the dark to the sound of my garish alarm clock. No one should ever have to wake up in the dark it’s just NOT normal!

But I shouldn’t act like I hate EVERYTHING about winter, there are SOME things I like, like ….. hmmmm…. okay there has to be SOMETHING… maybe the ice…. No, maybe…. WAIT I got it. The thing I like about winter is that I get to wear the sweaters that usually sit in storage throughout the summer. See? I knew I could think of something.
