Wash your hands, or you could get fat! Doctors may soon begin to advise people who care about their shapes to do just that, according to a report published in The New England Journal of Medicine obesity is contagious and can spread from person to person just like the common cold or a penchant for a new style of jeans. It doesn’t even matter if your face to face with the person or live far away as the report states "Proximity did not seem to matter: the influence of the friend remained even if the friend was hundreds of miles away." So what does this mean? It means that it is your fault I put on a couple of pounds – NOT mine! It also means that – at least according to this report – the way to avoid becoming fat is to avoid having fat friends.

Great, just what we need, another reason for people to discriminate against obese or overweight people. Luckily this study didn’t come out back when I was an obese kid waddling through school or the parents would have had another reason not to allow their children to hang out with me (their main reason was that I lived in a group home) as if it's not hard enough to live in this day and age as a fat person.
Hi Wendy.. Anything to destroy the souls of people.. It is alright to dislike/fight for people to be thin and healthy and lets face it live longer.. but we have to love the people and I think that has to come on a whole different level then we are working at presently.. People are so precious but the body is not all they are.. yet they have to realise that we love all of them so they have hope to do what is necessary to change what could harm them..
