It’s been about a week since Britney Spears performance at the MTV VMA’s and now every rat and cat in a box is talking about it – including me. If you still haven’t seen clip of Brit’s comeback let me tell you it was truly a horrendous piece of television history. Britney, presumably fucked on meth, stumbles about clueless, forgets the words (don’t worry, she lip-synched), grabs one of the dancers’ knickers in what could have been a poorly choreographed move or an effort to keep her balance, all while wearing a sparkly bra and panties.  It was pretty scary to say the least – fuck, even 50 Cent who has been shot nine times looked scared shitless sitting in the front row.

Sarah Silverman may have put it best when she said, “Isn’t [Spears] amazing? Just twenty five years old and she’s done everything she’s going to do with her life.” It’s really too bad, I was secretly rooting for Britney Spears to succeed.
